Youth Oasis Children's Shelter

As of January 1, 2013, Youth Oasis is one of only two emergency Children’s Shelters left in the state of Louisiana that houses children in the custody of the Louisiana Department of Child and Family Services (DCFS).

Youth Oasis believes all young people deserve to live in an environment that prompts emotional and intellectual growth as well as protects their well-being. We also believe that the local community can support and benefit from such a worthwhile endeavor.
